Ensign Christopher Loper, embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge, offloads food from a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter to provide disaster relief support to citizens of Haiti affected by recent hurricanes. The amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge has been diverted from the scheduled Continuing Promise 2008 humanitarian assistance deployment in the western Caribbean to conduct hurricane relief operations in Haiti.
